Because driving around with a Realtor isn’t enough…

Not the first time we’ve written about this, and sadly, not the last. But Realtors are turning to Twitter as a way to advertise. Maybe it’s just me, but I can’t think of anything more exciting than receiving “tweets” from a real estate agent. “I just listed a home.” “I just came up with a new word for ‘upgraded.” “I just sold an old home for far more than it’s worth to people who can’t afford it, yet I’m getting a lot of money in commission and mortgage kick-back.” Ahhh, yes… Twitter and agents. So perfect together! Read the AdAge article after the jump.

Even a Realtor says that Realtors are Whores and Liars

Author: The OutrageousAgents Guy Category: New Posts

Pretty much anyone who has ever worked with a Realtor or Real Estate agent knows that many — (though not all) — are whores and liars. They’ll do anything to get you into bed, then charge you an arm and a leg for extraordinarly poor service. Well, it seems that OutrageousAgents isn’t the only organizations that thinks this. Turns out at least one NAR member agrees. She writes about it in a newspaper. You can click the link after the jump.

Can you say “Anti Trust?”
Realty firm is just begging to get sued

In what we hope will lead to lawsuits, huge payouts, and the closing of a Wisconsin firm, Inman news reports how one agency is barring FSBOs, exlcusive listings, and listings from self-serve sites from appearing on their site EVEN if the home is in the MLS. We hope the Department of Justice steps in and takes action, as this sure seems to be an anti-trust issue.

Imagine this: Realtors say those made up appraisals of
the past aren’t working so well now

You knew this day would come. Or maybe you had a feeling this day would come. At any rate, it’s here. Those appraisers, who used to do whatever realtors told them to do, are now actually abiding by a code of ethics and accurately stating the true value of a home. So what does that mean? You guessed. Those money grubbing realtors — who will do anything to get a sale and commission — are now learning that their inflated value of self and house are, well, inflated. Check out the story in the Las Vegas Sun, after the jump.

Uh oh! Realtor faces foreclosure!

Author: The OutrageousAgents Guy Category: New Posts

Look! A Realtor is facing foreclosure himself. He says he’s playing hard ball, but Wells Fargo says it’s not interested in games, just collection on its $655,125. Seems Denny Grimes needs a little help — or guidance on how to deal with banks. And we thought Realtor’s knew EVERYTHING about real estate! Silly us! Read the story after the jump.

What Is OutrageousAgents.com?

OutrageousAgents is the leading resource for Realtor and real estate agent reviews, ratings, and news.

At OutrageousAgents, we believe there are two types of agents. Those who are professionals, who know how to market homes in good times and bad, and are adored by their customers. We hope to promote these agents from time to time.

Then there are those agents who are, quite simply, Outrageous! They likely entered the business when anyone could sell anything to any buyer. These are the agents who think a postcard promoting themselves, an MLS listing, and a yard sign is all it takes to sell a home. These are the agents who pushed folks to homes they couldn't afford, and have a big hand in the subprime mortgage mess.

These agents are the reason OutrageousAgents exists.
